How Do I Bring Home a Puppy?
Good question! It’s actually a pretty simple process, and we try very hard to make it as fair and transparent as possible. So let’s walk through the steps!
Step 1, application and deposit.
Start by filling out our application form, then make a $1,000 deposit. This amount will be applied to your final purchase price and secures your spot on our waiting list. We accept deposits via cash, Zelle, or check.
Step 2, you’re added to the waitlist.
Once we receive your application and $1,000 deposit, we’ll add your name to our master list, which includes every family regardless of the gender or color of dog they prefer. Don’t worry—you won’t have to wait for everyone ahead of you to get their puppy first. Some people are looking for a very specific color and gender combination or may want to bring home a puppy at a certain time of year.
Step 4, pick your puppy.
Once the puppies are born we will give them temporary names and post photos on social media. We take lots of pictures and videos as they grow. We begin training and socialization at a very young age, and the families can watch them develop in real-time.
When the puppies are about four weeks old we have puppy visits! This can be done in person or via facetime. It’s always fun! The puppies are adorable at this age.
After the puppy visits, each family gets to pick the puppy they want to take home! This is done in the order of deposits received. When it’s your turn, you can either pick a puppy or decide to wait for the next litter. We always have families that choose to wait based on the color or genders available, or just because life gets busy! You will never lose your place in line on the master list, even if you pass on a litter. In fact you will usually move up a few slots with each litter, as those ahead of you are matched with puppies.
Step 3, Aloe gets pregnant.
Once Aloe’s pregnancy is confirmed, we create a list for her upcoming litter. We send an email to all the families on our waiting list, announcing the new litter and sharing details like expected colors, size, coat type, and generation of the puppies. We then gather the responses and add all interested families to the list in the order their deposits are received.
Step 5, take your puppy home!
Once you’re matched with your puppy, you can follow their growth and milestones on social media. We’re always here to answer any questions along the way. When the puppies reach eight weeks old, it’s time to bring them home! We provide pick-up dates so you can choose a time that works best for you. Each puppy comes with a two-year health guarantee, a thorough vet check, and a goody bag filled with useful items like training treats, a collar, a stuffed toy, and a blanket carrying the scent of their mom and littermates. We’re always happy to help and love receiving stories and photos of our puppies as they grow with their families.
